Polish Radio Jazz Archive no. 16 is the first part played jazz music by the Big band of Polish Radio.
Edward Czerny & His Orchestra is the Pearl for many jazz fans, the images here are probably a surprise, but it was this big band, whenever it was necessary to successfully perform jazz repertoire. Edward Czerny & His Orchestra play songs melodic but definitely swing.

Compositions by Glen Miller, Quincy Jones, Duka Ellington, Paul Glass, Dizzy Gillespie, but also Dylag Edward and Edward Czerny. The composition of Karel Krautgartner "Concertino for clarinet and band" great clarinet solo played by Henry Rzeźniczek, like all saxophonists, which is also a virtuoso of the clarinet.

In many recordings is the wonderful trumpet of Józef Mizera to hear, later also supports the orchestras of Andrzej Trzaskowski and Jan Ptaszyn Wroblewski.

Since 1964, this orchestra is known as the Andrzej Kurylewicz´s Orkiestra Jazzowa Polskiego Radia.
