Elżbieta Maria Adamiak-Poniedzielska (born September 5, 1955 in Łódź) - Polish singer, guitarist and songwriter from the circle of sung poetry. Her most famous song is "Jesienna zaduma" (autumn reverie) with the text by Jerzy Harasymowicz. She learned piano as a child, then on the School of Music in Lodz - to play the guitar. She studied sociology at the University of Łódź, then at the Jagiellonian University, but interrupted her studies for singing. On stage debut in 1974 in Lodz. She has worked with well-known figures and groups of poetic ballads and songs writers (Nasza Basia Kochana, Wolna Grupa Bukowina). She is the winner of many festivals, including Student Song Festival in Kraków in 1975 (award for the Song debut and composer), the Castle Meetings "Sing Poetry" in Olsztyn and Academic Youth Arts Festival "FAMA" in Swinoujscie. In 2002, Elżbieta Adamiak received at the Student Song Festival "Gold Index" in Krakow , the honour price She has released eight solo albums. "Zbieram siebie" is the youngst of them. The CD included new songs and earlier (liked by Adamiak): "Zanosi się na noc" and "Wywar z przywar" and two foreign compositions, to which the artist wrote their own textes. Two songs are performed in duets: "Trwaj chwilo, trwaj" with Adam Nowak from the band Raz, dwa, trzy and "Czysta nafta" with Krzysztof Kiljański (third duet sung with her daughter Catherine). All songs are arranged by Jacek Skowronski and Andrew Pawlukiewicz. The new album, released by 4ever Music, took place Nov. 16, 2009. (Pl.wikipedia.org)
