Hanna Banaszak debuted in the early '70s in an amateur band, as well as a duet with guitarist and vocalist Piotr Zurowski (Hanna and Piotr). On the professional stage, she stood for the first time in 1976 in the competition "Young Talents" at the Festival of Polish Songs in Opole. One year later she won the third prize in the competition for jazz singers. In the years 1977-1979 worked together with the band Sami Swoi, with whom she also gave numerous concerts in Poland and throughout Europe. She began her solo career in 1980. Worked with Jeremy Przybora, Jerzy Wasowski, Zbigniew Górny, Jonasz kofta, Wojciech Młynarski together. 1986 she won the Grand Prix of the Belgian music festival Europopstar. She gave her voice actress Hanka Ordonówna in the film Miłość ci wszystko wybaczy (1981). 1985 she sang an aria from Stabat Mater in the movie Siekierezada. She has participated in many television and stage projects. The most important are: Nieszpory Ludźmierskie by Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz and Zanim będziesz u Brzegu - a stage spectacle that she realized together with Miroslaw Czyżykiewicz. Twice she was a guest on the television program The chance of success - the first time in 1999, the second time in 2008. Hanna Banaszak is also the author of the poetry collection Zamienie Samolubie na Szczodruchy. More than fifty poems were to chronicle of the personal experiences of the artist.
